Omoyele Sowore, a former candidate for the presidency, claims that Seaking’s recent arrest in Lagos on February 6, and subsequent transfer to Abuja, is linked to derogatory remarks he made about Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the leader of the Redeemed Christian Church of God.
In his post, Sowore noted that while at the FCID, he and Adeyanju were informed that Seaking’s arrest stemmed from accusations of cyberbullying against Adeboye.
It has been reported that the FID received a formal complaint from Paul James Adama acting for Adeboye.
“We just left the office of DIG Dasuki Galandanchi at the Federal Investigation Department of the Nigeria Police Force, where we found Olumide Ogunsanwo, known as SEAKING, who was in the company of officers traveling from Lagos. Legal representatives Adeyanju Deji and Marshal D F Abubakar were there on behalf of @Seaking and standing for @inibehe Effiong!
They informed us that Olumide’s current situation arises from unfounded claims of cyberbullying targeting Pastor E.A. Adeboye during a TikTok video from December 2024.
According to sources, Paul James Adama submitted a “petition” connected to Adejobi Olumuyiwa, a police affiliation, on behalf of the pastor.
It is disheartening to see the decline of the police force in our country. #freeseakingnow #EgbetokunMustGo
Investigating Seaking’s TikTok, videos from December show him criticizing Adeboye for donning military camouflage at a church convention and for suggesting Nigerians should be pleased with the dollar’s rise to a rate of N10,000.
