Mallam Hassan Yahaya Egwa, a senior official of the NG-CARES program in Nasarawa State, became a victim of a fatal shooting by unknown gunmen.
The NG-CARES program was initiated by the Federal Government to offer immediate assistance to vulnerable Nigerians affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Egwa’s tragic death took place at his new home in the Angwan Mai Matasa area of Lafia metropolis.
The deceased will be laid to rest following Islamic customs on Thursday. Friends and colleagues expressed their grief over the loss on social media platforms.
