“Seun Kuti Opens Up About His Sleepless Week After Being Overlooked by Davido”

Recently on the show ‘Curiosity Made Me Ask,’ hosted by Bae U Barbie, Kuti opened up about his feelings regarding Davido’s wedding invitations.

Nigerian artist Seun Kuti expressed his disappointment over being left out of Davido’s extravagant wedding to Chioma, which took place on June 25, 2024.

In a recent episode of ‘Curiosity Made Me Ask,’ he revealed that his lack of an invitation was a source of such distress that it kept him awake for a whole week.

Kuti shared that the pain stemmed from his past experiences with Davido, stating that the latter often enjoyed complimentary drinks at his family’s bar.

“Davido would arrive at the African Shrine with a large group and drink without paying, yet I wasn’t invited to his wedding,” he lamented.

“I felt hurt, I couldn’t sleep for an entire week,” he added.

 

“Davido will come to shrine with 100s of people to drink for free but when it was time for the wedding, I wasn’t invited. E pain me die”
