Sex Education Season 3 Looking to Begin Production In August
According to Deadline, Netflix is hoping to get its UK shows back into production including a hopeful August production start date for the third season of its hit comedy-drama Sex Education, though nothing is currently set in stone.

Sex Education Season 3 was originally due to begin filming this month before lockdown caused a delay in shooting. August is the latest they can reportedly restart production as the show is reliant on filming during the longer British summer days. Additional issues may come up with the intimate nature of the series considering the UK government’s two-meter social distancing rules.
Eleven, the British television production company, is working closely with Netflix on production plans along with other UK-based producers.

The first season of Sex Education garnered critical and popular acclaim and has opened up poignant cultural conversations around sexuality, relationships, and identity. The series has been lauded for delivering a coming-of-age story with a fresh, feminist heart, and for presenting intersectional and multidimensional characters that audiences have fallen in love with.
Gillian Anderson, Asa Butterfield, Emma Mackey, Ncuti Gatwa, Aimee-Lou Wood, Connor Swindells, Kedar Williams-Stirling, Tanya Reynolds, Patricia Allison, and Alistair Petrie reprised their roles in season two. Creator Laurie Nunn returned as creator and executive producer with Jamie Campbell attached as executive producer alongside Nunn. Eleven serves as the production company for the second season of the breakout series. The first two seasons are available to stream now on Netflix.
