Fubara Highlights Commitment to Governance Amid Opposition
Siminalayi Fubara, the Governor of Rivers State, emphasized his administration’s dedication to ongoing projects despite challenges from opponents attempting to undermine him.
During a speech at the launch of a 14.1-kilometer road project in Omuma LGA, Fubara asserted that effective governance revolves around serving the community and safeguarding lives.
He expressed confidence that the new road would foster growth in the region.
“We are here today not to boast about our work. Governance is fundamentally about serving the people, providing essential services, and ensuring safety,” stated Nelson Chukwudi, the governor’s chief press secretary, quoting Fubara.
“If we don’t share our achievements, no one else will. Thus, we are committed to showcasing our accomplishments to the world.
“While others expected us to falter, we continued to work diligently behind the scenes, demonstrating that our people’s needs are our top priority.
“This 14.1-kilometer project begins at Eberi. To me, it symbolizes an inter-state effort, connecting Rivers State to Abia State, highlighting its importance.
“This initiative is not about my personal resources; it reflects my role in managing and steering the state’s affairs,” he added.
During the project inauguration, Bala Mohammed, the Governor of Bauchi State, expressed optimism for Nigeria, commending Fubara for promoting effective governance.
“Governor Siminalayi Fubara is not only humble and sincere but also an exceptional performer in governance.
“I must apologize for underestimating you. Your calm demeanor and refusal to engage in conflict have proven true today, amidst all distractions,
“I’ve witnessed tangible progress,” he remarked.
