The Nigerian Army conducted a successful operation on Wednesday, 24 July 2024, responding to actionable intelligence in Kaduna State. Two terrorists were neutralized during the well-planned ambush along an important route connecting Gurara town in Kachia and Kagarko Local Government Areas of Kaduna State.
Intense fighting ensued during the operation, resulting in the elimination of two terrorists, while others fled with injuries sustained from gunshots. Significant items were recovered during the operation, including an AK-47 rifle with ammunition, machetes, mobile phones, cash, and other supplies.
“This operation prevented a potential terrorist attack and dealt a severe blow to the terrorist network in the State,” stated the Nigerian Army.
It was emphasized that the Nigerian Army remains committed to fighting terrorism and ensuring the safety of Kaduna State residents. The bravery and professionalism of the troops were commended, reaffirming the Army’s dedication to protecting the nation.
