In the midst of a political altercation between Governor Siminalayi Fubara and former Governor Nyesom Wike, governors from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have come forward to express their solidarity with Governor Fubara.
The disagreement has led to a division within the Rivers House of Assembly, with one faction backing Wike and the other supporting Fubara.
During a meeting in Enugu on July 17, the PDP Governor’s Forum released a statement declaring their support for Governor Fubara and their commitment to resolving the issues within the Rivers State Chapter.
The forum emphasized the importance of engaging in extensive consultations with various stakeholders to peacefully resolve the political turmoil in the state.
