A confrontation arose between Mrs. Abosede Aloba, the mother of the late Afrobeats artist Ilerioluwa, known as Mohbad, and actor Yomi Fabiyi regarding the circumstances surrounding the singer’s demise.
During a recent press conference at the Radisson Blu in Ikeja, Lagos, Fabiyi accused Mohbad’s brother, Adura Aloba, of reaching out to him on Instagram to suggest he had insights into the cause of Mohbad’s death.
Adura promptly refuted the allegation, insisting he had no knowledge of the circumstances surrounding his brother’s passing and urged that he should not be implicated.
With visible anger, Mohbad’s mother confronted Fabiyi, exclaiming, “They took my son, and you’re asking me to unjustly accuse his brother. He knows nothing; do not involve my son in this.”
“My heart is broken over Mohbad’s loss. If he were here, I wouldn’t be speaking to you. They have taken my cherished child, and I won’t allow them to harm Adura,” she expressed further.
In response, Fabiyi stated that his focus was not on who sent the message but on its implications, indicating that he still believed Adura might have reached out to him.
