Sir Alex Ferguson Reflects on Retirement
Sir Alex Ferguson, the iconic former manager of Manchester United, has shared his feelings about life after stepping down from management.
The 82-year-old admitted that he often yearns for his time as a manager.
Ferguson ended his managerial career following the 2012/2013 season, after securing his 13th Premier League title in his 27 years with the club.
Since his retirement, Manchester United has faced challenges in maintaining success, with Manchester City dominating the Premier League in recent years.
In an interview on BBC Breakfast, Ferguson expressed: “Yeah, I miss it sometimes.
“The first year after retirement, I attended the European final, and I told Cathy, ‘this is what I miss’ – those significant matches, especially European games.
“I began attending most European finals because they resonate with me, reminding me of what I cherished about the job.
“These are the major events that United should always strive to be part of.”
