The Night Angel turned out to be Kandi Burruss, star of The Real Housewives of Atlanta and the Grammy-winning R&B singer and songwriter behind classics like TLC’s “No Scrubs.” Fans of RHOA know Burruss stays busy, so it’s no surprise that she found time to appear on The Masked Singer Season 3. In hindsight, there were some major clues to her identity. The Night Angel had little to no dancing chops to rival her singing voice, and Burruss is famously a self-declared terrible dancer (via Atlanta Black Star).
Even though she’s an R&B and reality TV legend, Burruss admitted on the season finale that she was nervous about coming on the show, per People. As she accepted the Golden Mask, she said, “When I first got here I was terrified of failure, because for so long I had convinced myself that I wasn’t enough. … When I didn’t find success as a solo artist, I decided to develop other businesses behind the scenes; I did what I had to do, because I’m a mother. But as my kids have grown, it’s gotten harder to tell them to chase their dreams when I wasn’t chasing my own. So I’m here to win, not just for myself but for all women!”
The two runner-ups were also revealed on the finale. Rapper Bow Wow was revealed as the Frog and Jesse McCartney as the Ninja Turtle.
