Beyoncé on Fame: A Double-Edged Sword

Global music icon, Beyoncé Knowles-Carter, has opened up about the peculiarities of fame.

In her view, there are moments when being famous resembles confinement.

Now at 43, she emphasizes creating music on her own terms.

During a recent interview with GQ, she shared that her priority lies in innovation rather than striving for perfection.

Beyoncé elaborated on how she often steps back from the spotlight, as the pressures of fame can sometimes weigh heavily on her.

“I make music at a pace that allows me to connect deeply with others. My goal is to inspire individuals to explore their own creativity and inner strength. My focus is on storytelling, personal development, and the quality of the work, rather than achieving perfection. I prioritize growth and transformation,” she expressed.

“Working on the music for Cowboy Carter and launching this exciting new project feels freeing and exhilarating, unlike being in prison. It’s fame that occasionally feels confining. That’s why I might be absent from public events until I’m able to share new art.”

When questioned about retiring from music, she responded, “Great music and powerful messages won’t ever fade away.”
