Tony Stark Might Have Caused Even More Chaos When He Reversed The Snap, According to Fans

Pondering all the details of The Snap in the MCU’s Infinity War/Endgame movies can probably bring headaches if thinking about it too deeply. Then again, the Russo Brothers managed to carve out some real meat to the time travel plot and all it entailed.

Fans, though, are still doing deep dives into the events and Tony Stark reversing The Snap during Endgame’s finale. According to a few people, his reversal might have caused bigger problems than what the audience was privy to.

When Thanos decimated half of all life on earth and universe, it raised a lot of questions on what would happen should those people be able to come back from the dead. Of course, this can start to balloon into a bigger philosophical debate about resurrection in general.

Did Tony Stark reversing The Snap create an overpopulation problem on earth?

As usual, Reddit users pick up on things like this. Someone started a thread recently stating something nobody really thought over: When Stark reversed The Snap, the world went from 3.5 billion people to 7 billion people in just a few minutes.

Yes, bringing back everyone who’d died might have been more problematic than anyone considered. Of course, the above thread branched off into an interesting discussion on what kind of chaos this would have caused on our planet. In a time when the world is already faced with overpopulation, it’s worth pondering what would happen if everyone who’s died since the beginning of time would be resurrected.

Thoughts like this might have to involve deep dives into religious faith, not including wondering how it works related to the food supply. Some in the above discussion wondered how so many dead people coming back would be fed…unless “life” also meant more than humans returning.

With the upcoming Disney+ Marvel shows taking place after Endgame events, will they address these problems? Or will they just be conveniently tucked away in favor of other issues?

Addressing the problem of acclimating dead people returning to life

Death and resurrection are the most universal of themes, including a good portion of our population having faith something very similar will happen in real life someday. The MCU delving into similar territory was unprecedented for a superhero franchise. Nevertheless, the Russos managed to stay on top of most complex details.

They still opened a big window toward wondering how everyone who came back to life will be accommodated on our planet. Forget about the resource problem and think about how they’d go back to any sense of normal life in the case of jobs or finding a place to live.

For some, perhaps those transitions would be easier than others, depending on how long they’ve been dead. Those who died here were supposed to have been gone five years, which is an eternity in the times we currently live in.

On a psychological level, there’s also a lot to explore. Just the idea of grieving over someone dying, then seeing them back alive five years after the fact shouldn’t be completely ignored.

Perhaps these post-Snap themes will be addressed in the Disney+ shows

Everyone will know for sure if these post-Snap issues will be addressed when The Falcon and the Winter Soldier debuts this August. Based on some of the overly brief preview scenes, things look like they’ve normalized in the case of the populace participating in events.

Then again, things probably aren’t what they seem. Even though this show is seemingly going to explore racial themes with Sam Wilson fighting to get his Captain America title back, the world condition might also be looked at.

Maybe those curious will finally have answers to how people brought back to life obtain their food, not including wondering if being brought back on a troubled earth was worth the trouble.
