Faith Aluku Adeshola, a journalism diploma student at the Federal Polytechnic Bauchi, passed away on Wednesday following a hit-and-run incident involving a truck driver.
Eyewitness accounts indicate that Faith was riding a motorcycle on her way to school when the truck hit them, resulting in her death at the scene.
Authorities have apprehended both the truck driver and the motorcyclist, who are currently being held by the police.
Faith’s remains have been taken to the morgue at Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital.
At the time of her untimely demise, Faith was in the process of completing her school registration.
Comrade Haruna Umar, the President of the institution’s Students’ Union Government, has urged fellow students to stay calm, assuring them that the school’s administration and law enforcement are taking steps to seek justice for Faith.
Additionally, Umar has requested that the Polytechnic management and the Federal Road Safety Corps install speed bumps around the school to help avert future accidents.
