Uma Thurman to star in Apple TV+’s English remake Suspicion
According to Deadline, Apple TV+ is producing an English-language remake of Israeli thriller drama False Flag which will be titled as Suspicion with Golden Globe-winning actress Uma Thurman (Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill) signing on for the leading role. This will mark Thurman’s latest TV project after starring in Netflix’s supernatural horror series Chambers which was cancelled after one season last year.

Suspicion will be a high-paced thriller about the kidnapping of the son of a prominent American businesswoman (Thurman). Twenty-one-year-old Leo’s abduction from a large, upmarket hotel in central New York is captured on video and goes viral. Swiftly, four British citizens staying at the hotel become the prime suspects. But are they guilty of any more than being in the wrong place at the wrong time?
The series will also star Kunal Nayyar (The Big Bang Theory), Noah Emmerich (The Americans), Georgina Campbell (Black Mirror), Elyes Gabel (Scorpion), Elizabeth Henstridge (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.) and Angel Coulby (Dancing On The Edge).
Created by Amit Cohen and Maria Feldman, the original Hebrew-language series had made its debut in 2015 and had recently aired its second season finale last January. It followed the story of five ordinary Israeli citizens, who suddenly found themselves as prime suspects of a high-profile kidnapping. As news bulletins repeatedly broadcast their names and photos, their attempts at denial are all in vain – the coverage sweeps them up in a maelstrom of publicity.
