Violent Night is being described as an elevated thriller set against the Christmas holiday backdrop. The film will be produced by Deadpool 2 director David Leitch along with Kelly McCormick and Annie Marter through their 87North banner. Matt Reilly will oversee the project for Universal.
Casey and Miller have been longtime writing partners for 20 years now and have writing over 10 movies together including three National Lampoon spinoffs Dorm Daze, Dorm Daze 2 and Transylmania. This project will be the duo’s second major film following their big break with Paramount’s Sonic the Hedgehog which starred James Marsden and Jim Carrey.
