A multi-story structure in the Idi-Araba region of Mushin, Lagos State, has fallen, resulting in several individuals trapped beneath the debris.
PUNCH Online reports that the collapse occurred on Sunday afternoon.
Shakiru Amodu, spokesperson for the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Services, confirmed that one individual had been saved and rescue operations are still in progress for others who remain trapped.
He stated, “One adult male has been rescued, and we continue our efforts to reach additional victims caught under the debris.”
Amodu noted that the structure was in the process of being built and was at a single-storey stage when the incident took place.
