Chloë Grace Moretz’s return to the entertainment industry was certainly no fairy tale. The actress starred in the film I Love You, Daddy in 2017. Comedian Louis C.K. wrote, directed, and starred in the movie. Moretz plays a teenage girl whose relationship with her father (Louis C.K.) becomes complicated as soon as she starts spending time with a 68-year-old film director (John Malkovich). The film premiered in Toronto, but was soon dropped, as a string of women accused Luis C.K. of sexual misconduct.
While Moretz was certainly annoyed that a project she spent so much time filming was canned, she completely supported its cancellation and actually hopes the movie never sees the light of day. “I think [the movie] should just kind of go away, honestly,” Moretz told The Guardian. “I don’t think it’s time for them to have a voice right now.”
