The X-Men have a school to master their mutant capabilities: Xavier Institute for Higher Learning. The witches and wizards of Harry Potter attend a rigorous educational institution to hone their spell-casting and potion-making skills: Hogwarts. In Lev Grossman’s The Magicians, the magical students attend Brakebills College for Magical Pedagogy.
Just like us measly muggles must learn algebra, basic syntax, and chemistry, these magical beings must learn the tools for success in their respective worlds. However, what about the Avengers? What about the superheroes of the MCU? Well, it looks likes some Marvel sorcerers are getting a school after all, with a little help from Doctor Strange.

Marvel Comics recently announced its new Strange Academy series, which seems to fall in line with the approaches of the literary and cinematic works mentioned above. And, based on what we know so far, the narrative idea seems like it has been developed for the silver screen.
What we know about Doctor Strange’s Academy so far
Penned by Scotty Young with illustrations by Humberto Ramos, Strange Academy follows sorcerers who must relearn the ways of magic, for it has returned to the Marvel comics in a warped form, as Screen Rant explains. Doctor Strange is the headmaster of the Academy.

Here you have it: another all-seeing, wise, quick-acting, and down-to-business headmaster. May we introduce you to Dumbledore 2.0 — sans the beard, old age, and charming spectacles? The school is in New Orleans and Doctor Strange has recruited his own versions of Professor McGonagall, Trelawney, Rolanda Hooch, and more. So, who has Doctor Strange called upon?
Doctor Strange’s staff consists of the following members: Scarlet Witch (of course), Magik, Daimon Helstrom, and Brother Voodoo. While Scarlet Witch has already appeared, the Marvel Cinematic Universe has yet to introduce some of the other members listed here. However, based on rumors, Magik may be coming sooner than you think, and a Strange Academy movie may only be a few years down the line, depending on how the comics perform.

Will the ‘Strange Academy’ become an MCU movie?
If we’ve learned anything from watching Kevin Feige over the last few years, he doesn’t shy away from a challenge. Depending on how the comics sell in stores, he may choose to go down this path, as it would surely excite all those who love the academic side of fantasy worlds.

The MCU has spent a great deal of time on kicking butt and building up its characters (and their various interpersonal dynamics); however, spending a little time training a handful of young sorcerers would be nostalgiac for all those MCU fans who also loved (and miss) Harry Potter.
Not to mention, rumor has it that Magik may be making an appearance in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness to help Strange and Wanda fend off Nightmare (the main villain, allegedly). If this is the case, Strange may have already landed his McGonagall and Snape.
With Magik and Scarlet Witch, an Academy can begin to form; however, this story would most likely make the most sense as an off-shoot of the main timeline; otherwise, too many movies would be necessary to accomplish the tale. In other words, how about a Disney+ series?
