Yahaya Bello Seeks Transfer Of EFCC’s Case Against Him To Kogi State

Yahaya Bello Requests Transfer of EFCC Case to Kogi State

Yahaya Bello, the previous governor of Kogi State, is pushing for the relocation of his alleged fraud case involving the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to Kogi State.

He has been in a legal battle with the anti-corruption agency regarding accusations of financial misconduct during his time as Governor.

Reported by TVC News, Bello has formally asked for the case to be heard in Kogi State based on the premise that the alleged offense took place during his tenure as governor there.

The ex-governor has avoided court appearances on four occasions, claiming prejudice against him by the anti-graft body.

Since the attempted arrest by EFCC agents at his Abuja residence, the whereabouts of the former governor have remained undisclosed.
