“Florian Wirtz will not be moving to Bayern Munich, and there’s no scenario in which this transfer happens. This decision has been clearly communicated to the club’s board.”
While some speculate that Wirtz might prefer Bayern, Liverpool is reportedly making quiet strides to secure him. Liverpool’s executives held a meeting in Boston last week, discussing plans to potentially approve a record club transfer fee of €150m (£126.5m, $169.7m) for the German star.
The tweet highlighted that Bayern’s aggressive pursuit of Wirtz has upset both his family and Bayer Leverkusen.

Bayern Munich’s manager Vincent Kompany is eager to include Wirtz in the FIFA Club World Cup squad, so he may announce his decision in the first week of June, according to recent sources.
The 22-year-old has continued to impress at Leverkusen this season, notching 16 goals and 15 assists. He is one of only two players in the Bundesliga, alongside Bayern’s Michael Olise, to achieve over 10 goals and 10 assists in the same season.
