Kudus Declares Transfer Intent with Multiple Offers on Table

Tottenham is aggressively pursuing the signing of Mohammed Kudus from West Ham United, having had two offers rejected, including a recent bid of £55m [$64m].

West Ham is aiming for around £65m [$88m], although Kudus has a release clause set at £84m [$114m], as noted by TBR Football.

The Hammers are reportedly open to considering lower offers to generate funds for their own summer signings after Graham Potter’s first season ended without European qualification.

Additionally, Tottenham faces competition from Chelsea, who are monitoring the Ghanaian midfielder’s situation, while Newcastle United has also shown past interest.

However, Spurs have taken the most decisive action so far. The North London club is overhauling its squad under Thomas Frank, who came from Brentford to succeed Ange Postecoglou earlier this summer.

The team has already secured Luka Vuskovic from Hajduk Split, along with permanent contracts for Kevin Danso and Mathys Tel.

On the departure side, Pierre-Emile Højbjerg has joined Marseille, while Fraser Forster and Sergio Reguilon have left as free agents.

Mohammad Kudus clarifies his transfer intentions

Tottenham’s efforts are gaining significant traction with Fabrizio Romano, a trusted figure in football transfers, confirming Kudus’ clear preference.

“It’s understood that Mohammed Kudus is not in negotiations with any other clubs at the moment: he desires to join Tottenham. Kudus has already expressed his agreement with the Spurs project, and discussions between the clubs will resume shortly. His firm intention is to move to Spurs,” Romano stated via X.

He provided additional insights on his YouTube channel:

“From what I gather, Tottenham’s initial offer to West Ham was turned down because the club didn’t find the proposed amount acceptable, which was roughly £50m.

“However, Tottenham is expected to make another bid for Kudus shortly, aiming to re-engage within the coming days.

“Thomas Frank has given his internal approval; Kudus is considered a key target for Tottenham this summer, and they are ready to push forward for him, which will then depend on the player’s decision.

“For Spurs fans, the encouraging news is that Kudus is inclined to join Tottenham.”
