Robert Lewandowski demonstrated his exceptional form this season by scoring a hat-trick in Barcelona’s 3-0 victory over Alaves.
This win allowed Barcelona to maintain a three-point advantage over their closest rivals at the top of La Liga.
Since becoming the manager of Barcelona, Hansi Flick has placed great trust in a talented group of young players. Despite being 36 years old, Lewandowski stands out as an essential player whose contributions are crucial to the team’s success.
On Sunday, he completed his hat-trick before the halftime break, scoring all three goals within 25 minutes. So far, he has netted 12 goals in 11 games across all competitions in the 2024/25 season.
Out of these, ten goals have been scored in La Liga, with Ayoze Perez of Villarreal following him with six goals. Other prominent strikers, including Kylian Mbappe, have also scored five goals each, highlighting Lewandowski’s remarkable scoring rate, particularly when compared to Real Madrid’s latest star.

With this accomplishment, Lewandowski has now achieved 18 career hat-tricks, primarily during his time at Bayern Munich (14), and two each with Borussia Dortmund and Barcelona.
Flick praised Lewandowski, saying, “When I worked with him at Bayern, it was the same; to me, he is the best when it comes to scoring.”
However, Barcelona might be without Ferran Torres for some time following his early substitution due to a muscle injury sustained just six minutes into the match against Alaves.
