Under the new format expanding the number of teams to 32, Luis Enrique’s squad stands to benefit significantly, facing Atletico Madrid, Botafogo, and the Seattle Sounders from MLS in Group B.

Enrique previously claimed the shorter tournament title with Barcelona in 2015, defeating River Plate 3-0 in the final, but his current team is inexperienced at this prestigious level.

“Football doesn’t guarantee fairness, and surprises can arise in short competitions like the Club World Cup. Keep in mind that once you hit the Round of 16, every result hinges on a single match—this holds true for the quarter-finals, semi-finals, and final as well,” he stated in an interview with DAZN.
“The essence of football is surprises. Our aim remains the same in every competition: strive for victory. Our objective is straightforward: compete until the end, progress as far as possible, and create a chance to win.”
PSG’s debut in the Club World Cup kicks off with a match against Diego Simeone’s La Liga powerhouse on June 15 in Pasadena.
