Currently, Inter Miami sits in sixth place on the MLS leaderboard with 22 points from 13 games. After the loss to Orlando City, team captain Lionel Messi shared his thoughts on the team’s recent lackluster performances on MLS Season Pass.
The legendary Argentine stated that the Herons must ‘continue to put in effort’ and work towards improvement for their upcoming fixtures, including the FIFA Club World Cup scheduled for mid-June.
“Honestly, it’s painful to lose again. We’re in a rough patch, but we need to stay focused and prepare for what lies ahead. We have three or four matches left this month, and we must finish strong in order to approach the Club World Cup with confidence,” Messi remarked.

“We need to push through this difficult period because we are all in this together. It’s a real test to see if we’re a cohesive unit. When things go smoothly, it’s easy, but in tough times, we need to band together and show what we can achieve,” he said.
“I believe we have the capability as a team, so let’s prepare ourselves for the challenge against Philadelphia,” Messi concluded.
