Following a significant delay in the game, Neymar was taken off on a stretcher, and later seen leaving the stadium on crutches, clearly distraught.

According to updates from Reuters, sources from the Brazil FA revealed he had suffered a significant sprain in his left knee and would undergo further tests to verify any ligament damage.
Brazil’s captain, Casemiro, expressed empathy for Neymar, highlighting his value to the team. “He’s a crucial player for us,” stated the Manchester United midfielder. “He has endured significant struggles with injuries, and each time he starts to regain his form, he faces another setback.”
Neymar’s Recovery Timeline
Following the match, Al Hilal announced that Neymar had suffered a torn ACL and meniscus in his left knee and would require an extended recovery period.
Neymar has not participated in a competitive match for nearly a year, missing the remainder of the Saudi Pro League season—where Al Hilal emerged as champions—and the upcoming Copa America 2024 tournament.

After a long recovery period, recent updates suggest Neymar is approaching a comeback. He shared a post on Instagram earlier this month, expressing his happiness to be back in training, stating: “Happy to be back in the group … now it’s only joy.”
Although the game against Al Ahli on October 5 came too soon for him, Al Hilal’s next match is on October 13, giving Neymar a chance to return if his recovery continues to progress positively.
