EFLCropped

The start of the 2024/25 season brings immense excitement for football fans as the domestic campaign kicks off. Fans are keen to know how to watch their favorite teams play, and the broadcast and streaming deals have been finalized.

Viewers can catch Premier League action on Sky Sports, TNT Sports, and Amazon Prime, with Amazon Prime airing the fewest number of games in the upcoming months. However, a significant change awaits fans of the English Football League (EFL) with the introduction of Sky Sports+.

Introducing Sky Sports+

Debuting at the beginning of the 2024/25 season, Sky Sports+ will provide fans with an increased selection of live sports through a dedicated channel focusing on the EFL. The channel will feature expanded coverage of the EFL, along with tennis, golf, and rugby league. Sky Sports+ can also be accessed through the Now TV streaming service and the Sky Sports App.

Will Sky Sports+ Broadcast Premier League Games?

Sky Sports+ will primarily showcase EFL matches, while Premier League games will be available on other Sky Sports channels such as Sky Sports Football and Sky Sports Premier League. However, select Premier League fixtures like Manchester United vs. Fulham, Chelsea vs. Manchester City, and Aston Villa vs. Arsenal will be broadcasted on Sky Sports+ in August.

How to Access Sky Sports+ and Pricing

Sky Sports+ will be a standalone linear channel included in sports subscriptions at no extra cost. Additionally, subscribers can access extra live streams via the Sky Go app and website. To enjoy Sky Sports+, viewers need to subscribe to the basic Sky package and a Sky Sports subscription.

Pricing varies based on the chosen Sky package, and fans can opt for a NOW streaming package, inclusive of all Sky Sports channels including Sky Sports+, for £26 per month with a minimum six-month contract. Daily memberships are available starting from £14.99.

The 2024/25 season will feature 24 teams competing across a 46-game season, with the possibility of playoffs to extend the season. Notable teams include Luton Town, Burnley, and Sheffield United, who were relegated from the Premier League last season.
