Chef Hilda Baci, a Guinness World Record holder, has broken her silence in a new post after activist VeryDarkMan accused her of scamming people by offering an online cooking class.
Today, April 23rd, 2024, VeryDarkMan (VDM) confronts Hila Baci, revealing that the chef took N35k from hundreds of Nigerians for a culinary class before ghosting them all.
According to VeryDarkMan, the Hilda Baci online cooking class was supposed to begin on March 22nd, 2024, but the chef postponed it until four days later and did not even bother offering the online cooking lesson to individuals after collecting N35K from thousands of people.
Speaking further in the video, VDM accuses Hilda Baci of obtaining money from people under false pretenses.
He urged Hilda Baci to kickstart the online cooking masterclass for the thousands of people or better still return the money so as to avoid the reputation of his brand being damaged by him.
Reacting to this, Hilda Baci took to her food page (my food by Hilda) on Instagram today to debunk the VDM statement about her defrauding people of online cooking class.
Sharing her receipt, Hilda Baci in a video show that the online cooking class has kickstarted with 5880 active students.
Movin on Hilda Baci said that 156 recipes have already been posted and a comprehensive editing class has been done.
Hilda Baci added that Plating class is done and also official assignment has been given.
She accompanied the video with the caption; “5880 active students 156 recipes already posted comprehensive editing class done Plating class done Official assignment given LOL.”
A quick calculation shows that 5880 students contributed N35,000 each meaning that Hilda Baci already makes a sum of N205.8M while VeryDarkMan could not get his information right before posting a video.
