“Island big boys and girls.”- 86 Rooms Where Tenants Pay N250,000 Yearly Discovered Under Lagos Bridge

On Wednesday, May 1, the Lagos state administration, led by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, announced the discovery of 86 partitioned chambers measuring 10×10 and 12×10 under the Dolphin Estate Bridge in Ikoyi, Lagos Island.

Tokunbo Wahab, the Lagos State Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, revealed this on Wednesday in a tweet accompanied by a video uploaded on his X page.

The top government official stated that each 10×10 or 12×10 room was rented for N250,000 per year.

Wahab went on to say that the enforcement team from the Lagos State Ministry of Environment and Water Resources had effectively removed all structures beneath the Dolphin Estate bridge, including a container used for different illegal operations.

He tweeted:

“A total number of 86 rooms, partitioned into 10×10 and 12×10, and a container used for different illegal activities were discovered under the Dolphine Estate bridge. They have all been removed by the enforcement team of Lagos State Ministry of the Environment and Water Resources.”
