On Wednesday night, Junior Pope’s death was officially declared after many attempts at CPR were unsuccessful. On their way back from the shoot of Adanma Luke’s film Another Side of Life, the actor and some crew members perished in the River Niger region.
Jerry, who was there at the hospital where Junior Pope’s death was officially announced, posted a video of himself and Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) national president Emeka Rollas looking at his colleague’s corpse on Instagram on Thursday.
The video provoked emotions as many people chastised him for uploading it online, including several of his coworkers.
Jerry Amilo had to take down the video because of the outrage. The video has been removed, according to a check on his Instagram account.
In a separate video, he expressed regret for disseminating Junior Pope’s video and clarified that he wasn’t motivated by power.
Jerry Amilo clarified that he released the deceased’s footage in order to clarify different interpretations of what happened.
