Ace Hood and Shelah Marie’s wedding was absolutely beautiful. Along with pictures grinning in his burgundy tux, the 31-year-old rapper wrote on Instagram, “No half stepping. My mother raised a king, I know my grandmother proud!❤️#BlackBoyJoy.” The pair also used the hashtag #AceMeetsQueen to document the big day.
On Feb. 12, 2020, Hood shared a teaser video from the ceremony on Instagram, writing in the caption: “I feel so proud, honored and still a bit emotional thinking about all the hardships we faced and overcame together. I’m so grateful.” The clip provides a behind-the-scenes look at the ceremony, including a sweet father-son moment as Hood’s child helps him get all dressed up. There’s also a snippet of the vows. “With eyes wide shut, I see you,” the groom tells his bride. “With every thought and every touch, I see you. I promise to bring you out umbrellas and boots, so we can weather the storm. I promise to honor you in light and in darkness. I plant seeds with love so they may fruitfully harvest. I vow to hold you close, but always space to fly. With open heart and open mind, I would choose you again every time.”
