Governor Ademola Adeleke has expressed his gratitude for the Court of Appeal’s decision to affirm his victory as the Governor of Osun state. Following the judgement, he declared that there were “no victors, no vanquished” and urged members of the opposition to cooperate with his administration in order to move the state forward.
At his Ede country home, Adeleke thanked the people of Osun for their support throughout the trial period and reminded them that democracy is based on healthy competition. He also commended the Judges of the Court of Appeal for standing on the side of truth and justice.
The Governor assured the people of Osun that the good work is just beginning and they should expect more dividends of democracy. He urged them to remain law-abiding and to continue to have faith in the court system as it is the last hope of the common man.
