The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer has stated that Blessing Okoro, also known as Blessing CEO, was not arrested by the command. David Hundeyin, the PPRO, clarified that Blessing was reportedly taken into custody by Force CID Abuja on Thursday morning in connection with the case of celebrity auto dealer Ikechukwu Ogbonna, also known as IVD, and his late wife, Bimbo Ogbonna. A video of her alleged arrest had gone viral on social media. In the video, Blessing was seen being escorted to an armoured police car after she had refused to appear in court. It was reported that Bimbo had died due to an injury sustained from a fire incident in their home in Megamound Estate. Bimbo’s sister had accused her of dying due to domestic violence, while Blessing, who claimed to be Ogbonna’s relationship therapist, alleged that the late Bimbo was violent and suicidal. When contacted, Hundeyin said he could not confirm the arrest since the policemen involved were from Force CID in Abuja.
