A hyena managed to escape from its enclosure at the Jos Wildlife Park, as announced by the Plateau State Tourism Corporation (PSTC).
The Jos wildlife park, a renowned tourist destination in Plateau State, is recognized for its conservation of nature.
As a precautionary measure for public safety and to aid in the capture of the animal, the park’s administration disclosed the escape.
The corporation stated that efforts involving the use of drone technology and a team of Game-guards and Park-rangers are underway to track and capture the escaped hyena.
Individuals were urged to avoid approaching the hyena if spotted and to promptly notify park authorities if sighted, while being assured that all necessary actions are being taken to secure the return of the hyena to its enclosure.
The corporation expressed appreciation for the cooperation of the public and pledged to provide updates on the situation’s resolution.
