At 66 years old, Sharon Stone revisits her unforgettable moment from the movie “Basic Instinct” in a bold lingerie photoshoot. The actress shared a striking image on Instagram donning red lace lingerie, reminiscent of her role as Catherine Tramell in the 1992 film.
The scene in “Basic Instinct” where Stone’s character, Catherine, captivates the audience by crossing and uncrossing her legs during an interrogation, revealing her choice to go commando, has gone down in history as one of the most controversial yet iconic moments in cinema.
Stone pays tribute to that scene, demonstrating her timeless beauty and self-assurance. Nevertheless, she has previously expressed feeling coerced into performing the explicit moment.
In her memoir, “The Beauty of Living Twice,” Stone shares her frustrations towards director Paul Verhoeven, recounting an incident where she slapped him and left a screening upon discovering the scene was included against his earlier assurances.
Verhoeven disputes Stone’s assertions, insisting that she was informed of the scene’s content.
“Any actress understands what to expect when asked to remove her undergarments and have the camera focused there,” he stated.
Challenges Faced with Health
Stone recently shared about her financial and health hardships in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter.
She disclosed that the $18 million she had earned throughout her career was depleted while recovering from a severe stroke, which resulted in significant brain damage, rendering her unable to continue working. Stone attributed her financial setbacks to mismanagement by those around her during this trying period.
