Taylor Swift's German hotel surrounded by police as fans swarm ahead of Hamburg show

Police had to respond to the situation at Taylor Swift’s hotel in Hamburg as a large group of excited fans, known as Swifties, gathered outside in anticipation of her highly-awaited Eras Tour performance.

Reports from local news sources indicated that around 300 fans showed up. Despite the crowd, the 34-year-old Swift managed to avoid the fans by using an underground garage entrance and exit at the hotel, evading the eager onlookers.

Taylor Swift performed at the Volksparkstadion stadium on Tuesday evening and has another show scheduled for Wednesday. After her performances in Hamburg, she is set to take the stage in Munich over the weekend.

Heightened Security Measures for Swift’s Concerts

German authorities have been on high alert since the start of the tour by the 14-time Grammy-winning artist in the country last week. Concerns rose after a stalker of Swift was arrested in Gelsenkirchen for allegedly making threats against her and her boyfriend, NFL star Travis Kelce.

The 34-year-old suspect was taken into custody at the entry gate of the Veltins-Arena just before Swift’s performance. The individual had reportedly posted online threats against the couple, leading event organizers to inform local authorities.

Kelce, also 34, has been visible at Swift’s concerts, supporting her at two of the three nights she performed in Gelsenkirchen. The Kansas City Chiefs tight end was seen leaving the venue with Swift, displaying affection by wrapping his arm around her shoulder.

Accompanying Swift on her European tour, Kelce has attended 14 shows. However, his presence at the concerts might decrease as he had to return to Kansas City for the Chiefs’ training camp on Sunday. The NFL season for the Chiefs starts on September 5 with a game against the Baltimore Ravens, while Swift’s groundbreaking tour continues until December.
