American rapper and singer, Nelly, whose real name is Cornell Iral Haynes Jr, was arrested for drug possession on Wednesday, August 6. The 49-year-old artist was taken into custody by the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Gaming Division at the Hollywood Casino.
Nelly’s arrest was a result of a failure-to-appear warrant from 2018 in Maryland Heights. During the arrest, police found him with four ecstasy pills, a controlled substance, and driving without insurance.
After his arrest, Nelly was later released. In his mugshot obtained by TMZ, he was seen wearing a white T-shirt under a black hooded sweatshirt.
Nelly recently became a father with his wife, singer Ashanti.
