Hardened immigration officer Wendy (Lena Headey) is offered a high-profile case, judged on her ability to quickly and clinically reject applicants. Through her interrogation, she must uncover whether Haile (Ivanno Jeremiah) has a sinister reason for seeking asylum.
The Flood sees Lena Headey alongside Game of Thrones co-star Iain Glen take on one of the most explosive topics in modern politics.
The movie was written by Helen Kingston (The Carrier, Googly) and directed by Anthony Woodley (Outpost 11, The Carrier). Amira Ghazalla (Carnival Row) and Jack Gordon (Northern Soul) also star in the film. The Flood is produced by Luke Healy and executive produced by Matthew Helderman, Merlin Merton, Julie-Ann Uggla, Maria Walker, and Mike Woodley.

After spending time volunteering in the Calais Jungle the filmmakers wanted to be truthful to the refugee experience, avoiding any cinematic bells and whistles and leaving The Flood intentionally understated and unembellished. The filmmakers researched heavily, basing the script on actual stories and interviews with ex-Home Office officials. The result is one of the few feature films that explore what’s happening every day at our borders.
