Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State declared that he is unwilling to sacrifice his health for loyalty to anyone.
This remark was made during a speech on Sunday, September 29, following accusations from the FCT Minister regarding his loyalty.
He expressed these views while participating in an Inter-denominational Thanksgiving Service at St. Paul’s Cathedral, held as part of Nigeria’s 64th Independence Day Celebration in Port Harcourt.
“I align myself with the belief that if I must stand alone for what is right, I will do so,” he explained.
“I refuse to sacrifice my kidney or liver for anyone. If that’s the price of loyalty, it’s not for me. However, I will always choose to do what is right.” The governor concluded.
