Barcelona Eyeing Leroy Sane for 2025 Transfer
Barcelona is reportedly planning to pursue a free transfer for Bayern Munich’s winger Leroy Sane in 2025.
Despite some financial challenges, the club has shown progress over the past year. However, they anticipate continuing to work with a tight budget in 2025, which may involve selling more players to ensure financial stability at the upgraded Camp Nou.
This situation could lead coach Hansi Flick to seek more affordable options, and his previous connection with Sane might be influential in encouraging the player to leave Bayern Munich.
Sane joined Bayern under Flick at the beginning of the 2020/21 season, and they celebrated a Bundesliga title together at the season’s end.
However, the 28-year-old has seen his role diminish over the years, with younger talents like Jamal Musiala and new signing Michael Olise taking priority, along with Harry Kane’s arrival.
According to Diario Sport, Sane does not plan to extend his current contract, which expires at the end of the 2024/25 season.
Barcelona aims to initiate discussions in January but will seek assurances regarding Sane’s fitness and ability to fit into Flick’s tactical strategy before making an official proposal.
