A captivating video showcasing the wedding of twin brothers in Dak Lak has drawn considerable interest from social media users.
The brothers celebrated their marriages on the same day, with their mother-in-law joyfully welcoming both daughters-in-law. The two beautiful brides captivated attendees at the event. All traditional activities, including honoring ancestors, cake cutting, and toasting, were done concurrently by both couples.
The clip has received nearly 400,000 views, 15,000 likes, and a plethora of comments. While many people extended their congratulations to the couples, some were intrigued by the logistics of having a dual wedding ceremony.
Further details revealed that the couples involved in this distinctive celebration were Tran Van Huy (born 1999) and Huynh Thi Kim Yen (born 2002), along with Tran Van Hoang (born 1999) and Huynh Ngoc Thuy Chi (born 2000), all hailing from Dak Lak. Huy and Hoang are identical twins.
In an interview with VietNamNet, Thuy Chi expressed surprise at the attention their wedding received.
She shared, “Huy and Hoang are twin brothers who have always been together. For this important event in their lives, our parents wanted to organize a simultaneous wedding to create an even more memorable occasion.”
Van Huy and Kim Yen, along with Van Hoang and Thuy Chi, had been in relationships for a substantial period before their weddings. Although Thuy Chi and Kim Yen did not know each other prior, they quickly became friends after getting engaged to the brothers.
The four of them have developed strong friendships over the years, often going on trips together and supporting each other through various life events. Therefore, when the idea of a joint ceremony was proposed by the groom’s family, both brides readily accepted with encouragement from their families.
“Our shared wedding day went smoothly,” Chi remarked.
Kim Yen’s ceremony took place on October 6, followed by Thuy Chi’s the next day. Both events were attended by the groom’s family, and every traditional rite was honored.
On October 8, the dual wedding event took place at the groom’s residence.
“Our families are situated about 4-5 kilometers apart. At 7:30 AM on October 8, Van Huy and his party visited Kim Yen’s home for the bride’s procession. An hour later, Van Hoang’s group arrived at my residence,” Chi recounted.
The two bridal cars met at a crossover, approximately 3 kilometers from the house, before arriving together at the groom’s residence for ancestral rites and the wedding celebration.
On stage, all wedding festivities, including the cake cutting, champagne pouring, and toasts, were executed simultaneously by both couples, creating a vibrant atmosphere with the presence of all three families.
“The celebrations stretched into the late afternoon. The brides, grooms, and guests thoroughly enjoyed the day,” Chi mentioned.
Thuy Chi shared her joy, feeling fortunate to have such a remarkable and significant wedding.
Post-wedding, both couples plan to continue living with their parents and have no intention of moving out for now.
“Having known each other for years, we have a strong understanding among us. While the future may hold surprises, for the moment, both couples prefer to stay with our families,” Chi stated.
