Sydney Sweeney surprised fans when she flirted with the Oregon Ducks‘ mascot, bringing a fun twist to the 2024 season that few anticipated.
The playful exchange began when the mascot, known as Puddles, displayed a sign during the pregame festivities on October 12, asking the actress to “call me back.”
Sydney, 27, playfully lowered Puddles’s hopes when she responded on Instagram, joking, “Sorry. Changed my number, haha.”
This isn’t the first time someone has tried to get the star’s attention, as she usually remains unresponsive. It’s quite impressive that Puddles received a reply.
The amusing interaction delighted fans, who took to social media to discuss the lighthearted banter between the mascot and the popular actress, known for her rising stardom in Hollywood.
One fan commented on X.com, “No Ducks given lol.”

Upcoming Match for the Ducks
The Ducks are gearing up for another challenge in the 2024/25 NCAA season, facing the formidable Ohio State Buckeyes on October 12, with a kickoff scheduled for 19:30 ET/16:30 PT.
Both the Buckeyes and Ducks boast a perfect 2-0 record in the Big Ten and 5-0 overall. A win could propel either team alongside the Indiana Hoosiers at the top of the conference.
The Ducks have shown strong performances this season, securing victories against Idaho, Boise State, Oregon State, UCLA, and Michigan State without losing a match so far.
