Jennifer Lopez attended the UK premiere of her film Unstoppable at Cineworld Leicester Square, London, on November 5, 2024. The inspiring movie chronicles wrestler Anthony Robles‘ journey, showcasing how he triumphed over the odds by winning a national wrestling championship in 2011 despite being born with one leg.
For the event, Lopez wore a fashionable white turtleneck sweater dress paired with a cozy fur jacket. Robles, who became a national figure in 2011 for his achievements in wrestling, was joined by his mother, Judy Robles, who is portrayed by Lopez in the film.
“I’m excited for you all to watch this film!!!” Lopez expressed in a social media post.
She described the evening as one of the most magical experiences connected to her film career, emphasizing how portraying Judy Robles and highlighting her story alongside Anthony was a significant honor.
Lopez added, “This is the kind of film the world needs right now—one that is uplifting, emotional, and, at times, difficult to watch, but incredibly genuine and powerful.”
She continued, “It’s the ideal family film that will inspire cheers and tears alike. While it won’t hit theaters until December 6, it’s a wonderful choice for holiday viewing with family, delivering the compelling story of this remarkable UNSTOPPABLE family.”
Affleck lauds Lopez
The director of the film, William Goldenberg, was also present at the premiere as they honored Robles’ amazing journey.
This event followed a recent acknowledgment from Ben Affleck, Lopez’s former partner, who commended her work in the film. Affleck’s production company, Artists Equity, which he co-founded with Matt Damon, produced Unstoppable, though he was absent from the film’s screening at the Toronto International Film Festival in September.
Affleck stated, “While Unstoppable is quite distinct from my previous work, it shares a common foundation in the fervor of highly skilled creatives. Jennifer, along with Goldenberg, Don Cheadle, Jharrel, and Bobby Cannavale, displayed immense dedication to this project.”
