Disney and Pixar’s ‘Onward’ premieres on Disney+ on April 3

This movie comes months ahead of its expected Disney+ debut. Some think that could be due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak and its impact on cinemas. Onward premiered during March 2020, just weeks before some Disney fans went into self-quarantine and the company closed its theme parks.

“While we’re looking forward to audiences enjoying our films on the big screen again soon, given the current circumstances, we are pleased to release this fun, adventurous film to digital platforms early for audiences to enjoy from the comfort of their home,” said “Onward” director Dan Scanlon and producer Kori Rae in a statement.

Disney Nature is releasing two special films, ‘Elephant’ and ‘Dolphin Reef’ this April

There are two new journeys coming to Disney+. These stories, however, deal with real animals and their lives. The Duchess of Sussex narrates Elephant, while Star Wars and Thor actress, Natalie Portman, narrates the Dolphin Reef special. (This is also Meghan, Dutchess of Sussex’s first voice acting role since stepping away from her royal duties.)

This company’s branch of films, Disney Nature, has a few original movies available for streaming on this platform. Both Elephant and Dolphin Reef premiere on this streaming platform on April 3, 2020.

Disney+ adds the original ‘Doctor Dolittle’ to its library

If you’ve ever wanted to talk to animals, you’re not alone. One of the newest movies added to the Disney+ library tells the story of a doctor who does just that, portrayed by The Haunted Mansion and Coming To America actor, Eddie Murphy. The original Doctor Dolittle premieres on Disney+ on April 1. The sequel to this movie, however, is already available for streaming.

Disney also released a new version of Doctor Dolittle’s story during 2020. This time, Iron Man’s Robert Downey Jr. portrayed the whimsical main character. There’s no word however when, or if, this movie will premiere on Disney+.

Other movies coming to this streaming platform during April include The Odd Life Of Timothy Green, Frankenweenie, Prom, and National Treasure. To learn more about Disney+ and to subscribe, visit their website
