We did it, we made it through another week of quarantine, which I believe is worth celebrating! Rent a movie or grab a bottle of wine, something that’s a treat to yourself. In the meantime, you can check out the things that helped us get through this week, from sea-pups to coronavirus first-responders.
James Bond #ClapsForCarers
Those in the medical field are working like never before, sacrificing their own health to ensure that those with COVID-19 get the treatment they need. Not only are their hours long and their job difficult, many of these workers are forced to quarantine themselves from their families–so yes, they deserve a lot of praise right now. One person in the U.K. had an idea of how to express that gratitude, and it went viral.
Don’t forget to come together at 8pm to applaud these brilliant people #ClapForCarers #ClapForTheNHS pic.twitter.com/rJb0Kefl22

The idea was to get together (while keeping a distance, of course) and #ClapForCarers. Super simple, but a great way to show thanks.
The clapping could be heard throughout this London, where one person took a video to share with workers who might have been too busy treating patients to hear.
For anyone who wasn’t able to hear #clapforthenhs because they were too busy, you know, working for the NHS. I filmed this from my balcony. So proud of all my NHS colleagues. You are all amazing #NHSwarrior #NHSfamily pic.twitter.com/Hl1LIgwQmw

And the clapping didn’t stop there, with the cost of James Bond getting involved.
Thank you to everyone, everywhere, who is working to keep us safe. #ClapForOurCarers #ClapForCarers #ClapForNHS pic.twitter.com/muULcU2vvy

We think every coronavirus-responder deserves a martini–shaken or stirred.
And if you’re in New York City, it’s not too late to show you’re appreciation! Today at 7 p.m., New Yorkers are asked to show their gratitude with a #ClapBecauseWeCare.
A College Acceptance With Social Distancing
Is it not every high-schoolers dream to say, “Harvard said yes!”? This senior got to say just that, with his entire family there to celebrate. Grandma made sure to keep her social-distance while celebrating.

Two Sea-Pups Enjoying a Water Show in Georgia
Chicago’s Shedd Aquarium let the penguins out to roam and the Georgia Aquarium said, “Hm, what a great idea!” With aquariums closed and empty, it is the opportune time for other animals to enjoy sea creatures they might not otherwise see. These two dogs got a play-date like no other.

The “animals walking freely through an aquarium” genre that has come from coronavirus is my new favorite. Please–more videos like this!
After Years, Rihanna Gave in and Gives Us a Song
Okay, this good news probably didn’t stem from the coronavirus, but we can still celebrate because WOW it’s been a long time. While it’s not her song, she does sing on it and, you know what, we’ll take it. Let’s let Rihanna’s voice guide us through these tough times!
Please stream, I am really wanting an album soon.
An Observant Cat
Religious observance that is.
Dad can’t go to the mosque due to the pandemic, so Tofu accompany him five times a day. pic.twitter.com/2GvhTuXD47

This cat is making sure to join their pet-parent in his daily prayers–Tofu’s even got their own mat.
Check-in every day for an update on the wonderful and weird things happening in our current coronavirus world.
