Okey Bakassi Advocates for Polygamy in Africa
Okechukwu Anthony Onyegbule, widely known as Okey Bakassi, a renowned Nigerian comedian and actor, has expressed his belief that polygamy is the most suitable form of marriage for Africa.
He argues that the traditional monogamous system is failing.
During his appearance on the Honest Bunch Podcast, Bakassi suggested that many individuals are merely pretending to be satisfied in their monogamous relationships.
He stated, “Let’s stop the pretense about polygamy. Personally, I believe polygamy is the most effective marriage type for Africa. Monogamous relationships aren’t functioning well.”
“What is the difference? Polygamy allows multiple spouses, while monogamy restricts you to just one. What happens if you wish to keep both?”
Polygamy is the best form of marriage for Africa, we should stop pretending.
