OG Maco, a rapper from Atlanta known for his 2014 hit “U Guessed It,” is currently in surgery following a suspected suicide attempt. The 31-year-old artist was taken to a hospital in Los Angeles on Thursday morning after police responded to gunshot reports at a residence.
Emergency services were alerted by a neighbor’s 911 call reporting a gunshot around 10 a.m. When they arrived, they found OG Maco unresponsive and promptly transported him to a nearby hospital.
A firearm was located at the scene, but many details about the incident are still not clear. Authorities are continuing to investigate the events that led to the gunfire.
Manager affirms OG Maco is alive, requests prayers
Maco’s manager, Poppa Percccc, has confirmed that the rapper is still alive but in a critical state. He has asked fans and friends to keep Maco in their thoughts and prayers during this challenging period.
“OG Maco is battling, and we are hopeful for a complete recovery,” stated Poppa Percccc.
