Prince William has decided not to include Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in his Christmas celebration in 2024, which is expected to be lively with a substantial guest list, as tensions between the two royal siblings continue to rise.
In his 2023 memoir, Harry revealed that their rivalry has roots in their childhood, escalating particularly after Markle entered Harry’s life in 2016 and they eventually married in 2018.
Accusations of bias soon followed, leading Harry to resign from his royal duties in 2020 and move to the United States. Their relationship deteriorated further after their interview with Oprah Winfrey.
Despite King Charles III’s efforts to mend their relationship, the brothers remain estranged, resulting in Harry and his family being excluded from this year’s festivities.
“We’ll be in Norfolk,” stated Prince William to soldiers on December 10 while discussing their plans. “At Sandringham.”
“We’ll have 45 people for Christmas. It won’t be quiet; it will be noisy.”
This indicates that about 45 guests will join them for their gathering as the British Royal Family convenes at King Charles III and Queen Camilla’s residence.
The specific names of the attendees haven’t been disclosed, but with William and his family included, that’s already five. With the King and Queen, it leaves 38 other individuals that could be invited. The last time Harry and Markle joined the royals for Christmas was in 2018.
Fun Times for William and Kate during Christmas
While members of the British Royal Family are often stereotyped as being reserved and dull, Prince William and Kate Middleton are proving otherwise.
Sources indicate that their wealth allows them to approach Christmas with joy and humor, reflected in the gifts they exchange.
“Their presents tend to be quite amusing,” remarked Nick Bullen to Fox News Digital in 2023. “When you have access to the finest jewelry, art, and clothing, the holiday gifts are generally light-hearted and playful.”
