The Peoples Democratic Party from Oguduokwor Ward in Ebonyi State has officially expelled the suspended National Vice Chairman for the Southeast, Ali Odefa, from the party.

Odefa faced suspension on September 11, 2024, by party officials due to accusations of engaging in activities contrary to the party’s interests.

This suspension was subsequently upheld by the Federal High Court in Abakaliki on November 29, 2024.

During a press conference on Wednesday, the Acting Chairman of the PDP in Oguduokwor, Onyeka Ovuta, along with other ward officials, announced Odefa’s expulsion, confirming that the disciplinary committee had validated the allegations against him.

According to Ovuta, the decision to expel Odefa aligns with the party’s constitutional provisions and the committee’s recommendations.

As a result of his suspension, Odefa will no longer retain membership in the party.
