Meghan Markle has expressed her heartache following the passing of her beloved pet, a beagle named Guy, who died on January 7. In a heartfelt Instagram post, the Duchess of Sussex shared her grief.
The 43-year-old shared various pictures and videos, depicting her sorrow and highlighting moments with her children, Archie and Lilibet, alongside their late dog during this tough time.
In one of the clips, Archie, who is the grandchild of King Charles III and sixth in line for the throne, can be seen holding Guy’s leash while his parents approached a group of horses.
Another video features Meghan enjoying a sunny day in the park with her three-year-old daughter and their dogs, including Guy, who was keeping a watchful eye on Lilibet as she played.
In a heartfelt Instagram tribute, Markle shared memories of her beloved beagle, Guy, whom she rescued in 2015 from a kill shelter in Kentucky. Initially given only days to live, Guy quickly became a cherished companion.
The small and frail dog was aptly named Guy and brought immense joy to Markle’s life. She frequently shared moments of their time together on Instagram and The Tig.
Guy was present through significant milestones in Markle’s life, including her time on Suits, her engagements, and motherhood, providing comfort in both peaceful and chaotic times.
Markle’s Tribute and Upcoming Series
Markle also highlighted Guy’s resilience after he suffered an injury that left him facing surgery and uncertainty about walking again. Thanks to the care from Queen West Animal Hospital, he made an inspiring recovery.
Fans can look forward to seeing Guy in Markle’s upcoming Netflix series, “With Love, Meghan,” set to premiere on January 15. She expressed that his presence in the show will help others understand the depth of her loss.
