Famous actress Omotola Jalade Ekeinde has responded to rumors that she left the U.S. due to the Californian wildfires.
In a message posted on her Instagram on Tuesday, she reassured fans that her family is safe and sound.
She explained that she has been in Nigeria since December, implying her departure from Los Angeles was unrelated to the fires.

Dear friends,
I want to take a moment to express my gratitude for the concern and support I’ve received about the current fires in Los Angeles.
I sincerely appreciate everyone who has reached out with love, prayers, and kind thoughts. Your support means so much to me.
To clarify: my family and I are safe.
However, I’ve noted some reports claiming I relocated because of the fires, which is incorrect. I have been in Nigeria since December 2024 and remain here. Though I hold a deep fondness for Los Angeles, the wildfires are not the reason for my travel. I ask that the media and others correct the misinformation.
That being said, my heart is with Los Angeles during this challenging time. It’s more than just a city to me; it’s home, community, and the birthplace of many dreams. My thoughts are with everyone affected, including first responders and those facing loss.
This situation highlights our shared humanity, no matter where we are in the world. It’s a time for unity, strength, and compassion. I encourage everyone to join me in praying for Los Angeles and to support initiatives that are helping on the ground.
